About JudiLynn India

JudiLynnJudiLynn is an established artist in the physical world who states she has been drawing since she could first hold a crayon. Since then she has pursued art both academically and physically, and since the turn of the millennium has focused on acrylic and digital painting.

JudiLynn says of her work:

My work embodies my spirit and personality. My goal is to allow you to experience the image with your own mind’s eye. My work is entirely intuitive. I get lost in the layering of texture and colour. Occasionally, I will include figurative work if my spirit is so presented with the composition. Just as there is order in the chaos of the universe, the energy within me is brought into focus one canvas at a time.

Better days
bring bitter ways
for baking in the sun

I’ve seen green
best left unseen
with artificial fun

Cloudless skies
still harbor lies
with smiling hollow grins

I’ve felt the sting
of golden wing
before the pain begins

Flat the ground
without a sound
no wind to stir the soul

I’ll wait for rain
play through the pain
no diamonds without coal

Mastodons were easy. Black holes took a bit more thought, and lava was never entirely
what He had in mind.

Like the rest of Creation, these efforts paled in comparison to the trials He encountered fashioning Woman. Her parts simply refused to behave in any predictable, replicable, orderly manner.

Woman, thy name is chaos! The Supreme Being was heard to mutter on more than one occasion by the Heavenly Host.

His companion hid Her smile, whispering, She brings the colour, the life your Creation needs to perpetuate itself. Let her loose. She will perfect your seed.

And, so, she has.

Bills, career, relationships
all grinding at different edges
collapsing our sharp edges
surrounding with friction points
chafing in wonderment.

But look! An abrasive miracle
opalescent teal, lavender,
pink and luminous white.
Even black is remarkable
from such a cauldron.

Such elegance makes discomfort
a fascinating sacrifice
keen-edged proprieties seem
less alluring, in contrast
to this lunar spectacle.

Take them! Take them all!
Whittle away my acuteness
ground fine my whetted thresholds
that I too may glorify
in a blunted, polished beauty.
